OK, It's time for a wakeup call people!  The Government is no longer looking out for the best interest of the people.  If you think they are, pull your head out of the sand and start educating yourself. The EPA and FDA are bought and paid for by big business.

EPA ADMINISTRATORS PRESSURE STAFF TO OVERLOOK TOXIC PESTICIDES
Government scientists are blowing the whistle on the Environmental Protection Agency's attempts to allow the continued use of 20 hazardous organophosphate pesticides. Nine thousand EPA scientists have submitted a strongly worded letter to the EPA's Administrator, Stephen Johnson, protesting that "industry pressure" is compromising the "integrity of the science upon which agency decisions are based." Research indicates that these specific organophosphate pesticides, similar in composition to bio-warfare nerve gases, pose serious health threats, especially to babies in the womb, infants, and children, yet most of them are contained in common products used by the average consumer. EPA scientists complain that they are being forced to skip key risk assessment tests on these dangerous toxins due to pressure from the chemical industry. This rebellion inside the EPA comes on the heels of the agency's new controversial regulations that would allow the intentional dosing of pregnant women and children with pesticides.

If this makes you mad, do something about it, write your congressman  and senators and let them know were not going to put up with this and we want some representation. Better yet, write letters and e mails to the companies that are polluting and selling these products and let them know that you will not be purchasing ANY of their products. When it hits them in the pocket book, things will change!  Every Dollar you spend is a vote FOR or AGAINST a company that may be poisoning you or your kids

GOVERNMENT STUDY: HIGH LEVELS OF PESTICIDES IN KIDS' DIETS
U.S. government scientists from the Centers for Disease Control have released a new study revealing that switching to organic foods provides children with "dramatic and immediate" protection from toxic pesticides. The scientists tested the urine of elementary school children for 15 days. Children ate conventional foods for ten of the days and ate organic foods for five days. During those five days, researchers saw the toxins malathion and chlorpyrifos in the children's urine completely disappear. These chemicals are two of the most commonly found pesticides on non-organic foods, and are associated with nerve damage in children. Pesticide levels increased five-fold in the children's urine as soon as conventional foods were reintroduced to their diet. The study concludes, "An organic diet provides a dramatic and immediate protective effect against exposure to organophosphorus pesticides that are commonly used in agricultural production." http://www.organicconsumers.org/school/organicstudy090405.cfm

THOUSANDS OF EPA SCIENTISTS ISSUE WARNING ON FLUORIDE
Over 7,000 U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) employees have called on Congress to pass a moratorium on the use of fluoride in drinking water, citing a series of new studies directly connecting the chemical to cancer. The group, made up predominantly of EPA scientists, has sent letters to key Congressional committees and the EPA Secretary, calling for the EPA to classify fluoride as a human carcinogen. At this point, it appears the National Academy of Sciences is being instructed to review relevant studies and report to Congress and the EPA on the topic in early 2006. GMO Food Alert!

What if you were being fed Experimental Genetically Modified Foods that harm rats, and other animals in studies,  without your knowledge or consent?  Would you be upset? Think it's not possible? Think Again!!! Right now you probably have GMO foods in your cabinet or refrigerator! The Battle to pass Labeling Laws in the US is going on right now and if your not familiar with GMO foods and what is going on in the US, I urge you to spend a few minutes and do some research on the toxic "frankenfoods" that is being force fed to Americans without proper testing and without our knowledge by the company that brought us great products like agent orange and DDT and told us for years that they were safe!

Some of the research indicates that genes from GMO foods can jump to human genes and actually create pesticides in the intestinal tract. These foods are on our store shelves without our consent. Yes the FDA approved them without sufficient testing. Who approved this you ask? One of Monsanto's former attorneys who now heads up that division of the FDA...

One study on GMO foods found that GMO Potatoes fed to rats, harmed the internal organs of the rats and greatly effected their immume system!!

This site is a great site to research the GMO foods that are being forced into our grocery carts  without our knowledge or approval. Don't know about GMO? Spend a few minutes reading what's going on in the battle to label GMO foods in the US like they have to do in most of Europe.  97% of consumers say they would avoid GMO products if they knew.  What can you do? Start making noise and let others know. Knowledge is power and right now most people are in the dark about GMO Food!
