This quote is from an official report by Dr. A. McGuigan on findings for the Federal Trade Commission, Docket Case No. 540

All vegetables cooked in Aluminum produce hydroxide poison which neutralizes the digestive juices, robbing them of their value to digest food, producing stomach and gastrointestinal trouble such as stomach ulcers and colitis.

Some other facts about Aluminum:

Boiling an egg in aluminum produces phosphate poison.

Boiling meat in aluminum produces chloride poison.

Boiling water in aluminum produces hydro-oxide poison.

Aluminum poison will produce acidosis, which destroys the red blood cells, producing a condition similar to anemia.

The sale of Aluminum cooking utensils is prohibited in Germany, France, Belguim, Great Britan, Switzerland, Brazil, and 7 other countries in Europe and South America.

When sodium or salt is cooked in aluminum pans, the sodium molecules and the aluminum molecules actually trade place with the sodium molecules by sticking to the sides of the pan where the aluminum was. That's part of what causes the pits in aluminum pans. When you boil any vegetable, it has sodium in the vegetables so this reaction occurs naturally and you get a big dose of aluminum in your food!  If you have acid reflux, indigestion, heart burn, irritable bowel, spastic colon, any type of digestive disorder, you should really notice and look at what your cooking in. Teflon is mounted on aluminum so if you have a scratch on your Teflon pan, guess what's coming in contact with your food? This is one of the main causes we see on a weekly basis of all types of digestive problems.
